Use the Charting dashboard to create custom charts showing your website response time and user experience metrics collected by AlertSite monitors. You can create charts combining data from several monitors, specific locations, and showing multiple performance metrics.
To open the Charting dashboard, select Charting from the top menu.
When you first open the Charting dashboard, it shows the response time of the first monitor in the list during the last 24 hours.
Note: Bar chart is available only if grouping is used.
When the chart is ready, you can make a screenshot and share it with your colleagues.
You can change the chart options, such as Time Frame and Chart Attributes. After making your selections, click Apply to re-generate the chart.
Select one or more monitors to show on the chart.
To view data from multiple monitors separately, group the chart By Monitor Device. Otherwise, the chart shows average values from all monitors.
Select one or more locations to show on the chart. Selecting none (0 selected) includes all locations.
To view data from multiple locations separately, group the chart By Monitor Locations. Otherwise, the chart shows average values from all locations.
Select the time period for chart data. You can select an exact or relative time period (like Yesterday, Last 3 Days and similar).
You can choose to show all runs, only successful runs, or only runs with a warning or error status.
Grouping replaces a portion of data points in series with one grouped point, making it easier to spot trends in charts that show large amounts of data.
You can group chart data by time (hour, day, week, and so on), or by data source (monitor and location):
By default, the chart shows the response time, but you can also add response time components (connect time, first byte time and others) and user experience metrics. For a description of available metrics, see Web Page Load Time.
You can view data as:
You can select the chart type from the list in the chart’s top-right corner.
Hover over the chart points to see a tooltip with the status at that point, including:
Drag on the area you want to zoom into. To return to the original chart, click Reset zoom.
To show or hide selected metrics, click the metric in the legend. Hidden metrics are marked gray in the legend.
